That's funny, the very first link given should be of help to you as they discuss about the grid property and a shortcut to send values to a specific cell (under the "Grids and Info" section).

The second link is also useful. The example shows how to make an inventory system, you should be able to learn from that tutorial on how to do what you want. Tutorials are not meant be glanced on, it is meant to teach you an aspect in programming, which requires your time and effort.

In addition to the two links RJTaylor provided, which is actually useful for you, believe it or not, I would recommend looking up output()
