interface button module stop working

the interface button module appear to randomly stop functioning even though they just were working fine with no change to the code associated to them and all functions prior worked fine

I don't know what you mean by "interface button module". Can you clarify this report? I'll need details to investigate anything.

the button itself you can place as a interface element which you can link to verbs

I'm not experiencing this at all, and I use interfaces pretty heavy with buttons.

You may want to check and make sure that the user using the button still has access to the verb they are supposed to be calling.
