I've been playing around with the health and mana meters in DD, since I really liked the meters in SMB. It's very handy to have the meters in the play field.
Which do you prefer as an overlay? Horizontal health bars, vertical health bars, or are they better left in the statpanels?

I've noticed when you become covered in oil, sometimes you get a random icon as an overlay instead of the one you are supposed to. I haven't experimented with meter overlays until today. I dunno but I kinda like vertical. Though, either way they'd be better if they actually showed through the character rather than being behind them :)
