Because i like stargate so much, i can help you on the code, but i will never do it for you, on correct and help. I can make some icons, and an idea is to make it like an arena type game. Goauld vs Humans. The goauld have there side and building and so do humans. The humans building will have stargate to go though to hide, goauld will have secrit passages that only they can see.

Don't make a fan game. It's ok if it's based on it but don't make it exactly like the game. It sounds more action oriented to me, so forget stats and stuff (well, maybe not completely) and go straight for action. This will make the game great. |

...and make the name shorter like stagate SG-1 Assuming that there is more than one gate on Earth (or in our neck of the universe atleast), why not call it SG-2, or SG-12 ? I'm a little rusty on the show since I'm more of a Babylon5 and StarTrek freak, but wasn't SG-1 the name of the team (the show's stars) that used the gate the most? I thought I recalled other SG-team numbers too... |

Yeah SG-1 was the first team to use the gate (in the movie, but then they weren't SG-1) and the first team formed within the SG-C, there are 16 other teams (by last count), and one other gate on Earth.

So you could call it SG-C(star gate control is what i think i means)

Stargate Command.

Because I like the show so much, I think you should try to find your own darned idea.
Seriously -- why can't people make their own darned game? You can take some of the things from Stargate -- modern weapons versus alien weapons -- and combine them into a completely unique game. You can say Stargate inspired your game, but if you mention Stargate anywhere in the title, or within the game itself, it's little more than a bastardisation of the series, rather than a creative development drawing upon reasonably unknown but neat sources. |

duh, thats right, i knew that, just like SF-C(star fleet command in star trek). i though of that first but than forgot.

so, not that big of a deal.

Right. ;-)

My Suggest- Just call it Stargate. And make the game so FREAKIN cool everyone wants to play it, not just hardcore show fanse, or DBZ'ers. If you can get a guru to play it, you're doing great.
