I was wondering if it would be possible to create a telnet bot of sorts, using BYOND. I am currently making a telnet application which is to be used as a "plug-in" to a MUD I play... only problem is, I'm not quite sure how to plug it in. I would like to set it up to be able to use various commands on the MUD, sort the recieved data, and translate it into information. This could be used to read notes, check who is on, and various other helpful things. Anyone have any ideas? (I'm thinking along the lines of Export/Import as a possible solution)
Ba-ump.
I don't have any clue what you're talking about, and I doubt I could offer any help on the topic if I did. I've seen this threat at the top when it was posted, and both times after it was both. Not getting responces to your thread doesn't mean no one is reading it, it means no one has anything worth responding with.
Definately! The Telnet connection to the TextMUD 2.5 server acts like a big Telnet bot made in BYOND... I'd rather not give out source code, but I'll tell you there's something to it.
