I am currently Inventing something called BYOND Gaming And no, sariat, it will not be as you like to call it a "Rip" of BYONDscape, and DigitalBYOND, it's nothing more then a fan site.
With it, i will personally go to games and try them. If they are nice, and the person wanted it reviewed it will be placed on the page.
I will also have all the tutorials / Demos i made on the page, along with Special BYOND events that I will hold. If you have any ideas nonetheless post here, i would be glad for any comments.

Sounds great man. I know I have been wanting to see some reviews on games out there. I don't know if anyone does that already but its sounds good to me.

Ive been wanting to see a BYOND Games/Libaries/Demo Review site for a while. I think you shouldnt put up your libaries and stuff up on it though.
Just make it a pure review site. Maybe with interviews as well. Run it like a gaming Magazine specifically aimed at the BYOND Platform.
One thing though, try and make your reviews non-bias in any way. Like if your the sort of person who likes action games, dont make your review for something like Hedgerow Hall "Its boring, Lame and gay.".
Maybe instead of having it updated when ever, you could try and run it exactly like a magazine.
A monthly (Or weekly, or bi-weekly depending on your taste) update, with a bunch of new reviews, interviews and news. Possibly a new layout each month.
Of course you would have the previous 'issues' archived and avaliable in there own section.
Im begining to really like that idea. Anyway, in case you dont, I'll go back to the broader ideas/points of views.
If you choose to review games/libaries/demos instead of just games, then dont focus too much on one category. Obviously your going to have more game reviews then demo reviews, but you dont want a demo or libary review to be something rare.
Back on the making it work like a magazine idea, you would want to get a few people in on it. Ie, one person to do the monthly layout change (Even if its just changing the images its still cool), a couple of interviewers/reviewrs and someone to keep everything running smoothly and co-ordinate the whole thing.
Anyway, my girlfriend just rang me up, so I better stop typing before she tells me off for not paying atttention to her, or I screw up and start typing what Im saying...

it would be cool to have a reviews site, i mean digibyond has some but not much because it is more of a news site, whilst byondscape is a more advanced coders (with the occasionaly newbiehelping tutorial and such, (dream tutor)) but we dont really have a reviews only site.

Magazines are magazines. Don't worry about being called unoriginal. They rarely are original.

If it is nothing more than a fansite, don't bother reading any further. I'm not even sure why you would post in such a case.

A focus on games would be welcome. Reviews would be nice. People have missed them on BYONDscape and digitalBYOND, currently busy being rebuilt, had reviews of questionable standards. (Arguably, anyone should question the standards of a critic anyway. For instance, my review of the reviews comes after only a couple looks.)

My question is this: Do you really want to be bothered maintaining a magazine by yourself? Updating constantly gets to be work. Not updating enough encourages boredom in your audience. Nobody is paying you. How are you going to stay motivated?

Remember, you can always try writing reviews for digitalBYOND or BYONDscape. They accept submissions. The more official sites could lend you some credibility. You wouldn't have to maintain the entire site or fight so hard for an audience.

If you still plan on creating your own site, I might have an idea. Do previews. You could gain an audience who wants to hear about new things. Developers could be motivated to deal with you to get some early hype for their product. You could be motivated because you get to try products before they come out. Products are not updated regularly so you would not have to update regularly. You would not even have to stay as unbiased because previews are mostly hype anyway. (Sure, selling it straight would be best. However, less people would be upset than if you gave a poorly done review.)

digitalBYOND v3 did have a few reviews, and v4 will continue that tradition when it comes back online.

It is good to see more websites supporting BYOND.
Thanks for all the aditional ideas, all. Very much appreciated, when i get home i will start right away on the site.

digitalBYOND had reviews.
Well, i finally got the alpha version done. I think it's good enough to present so hopefully we can get some games up on the ("Hub") section. The web page is:
