Anyone think they have a demo they would like me to make
A demo that shows how to use your BYONd pager from in the game. There was one but he deleted it.
I'm not sure if there is one already, but you could make a demo on how to make html pop up windows.

In a nutshell,

usr << browse('blah.htm',"window=whateverwindownameyoudlike")

It's right in the reference under browse() if you're interested. ;-)

mob/verb/send_page(T as text, key as text)
client.SendPage(T, key)

Personally, I think demo material needs to be a little more complex than that. =)

You assume that people use the reference =P

They are easy to make, but I don't think a lot of people know how. Otherwise they would probably be used much more often.

I actually made a pager application, you could send pagers and ASCII art and stuff. Meh :)

how about a demo where you say like;
you input a command in a mob
it performs it like

like as if you controlling a robot you tell it to go forward and attack.
but make it as if you are in the robot itself....if you really wanna that is!!
and if there isn't sumthing like this.
How about the one I requested earlyer. About the Store/Message Database over a webpage. So then people in an RPG or other setting goto the webpage and buy things or message to people in the game.

I now consider Spuzzum a show off:P

I'm not really showing off -- I'm just stating that the material those two requested could be done in a couple lines each. To me, a demo has to solve a reasonably complicated problem. The new suggestions that Fuegan and Green Lime came up with would make for interesting demos, for example.

Soccerguy's and OneFishDown's suggestions wouldn't be bad for FAQ entries if they got to the point of being frequently-asked, but in my (admittedly pretentious) opinion, demos need to solve problems, not answer questions.

I have around 100 pieces of code that are all around 10-50 lines each. They wouldn't qualify as demos either. The most I could pass those off as would be as snippets. =)

Hasn't Raekwon done that recently? Just search, development items and date to get the latest in demos and libs
I made a neat cell phone object once, you could hear everything anyone said on the other end when that person was in a range of 1 of the phone or the person who was holding it, should I release it?
In response to Fuegan
Fuegan.... mmm? Eldar supreme exarch of the fire dragons? Or is that just some odd coincidence. Please tell me O master of the burning Lance. Lest I make a key by the name of Maugan Ra, and play the harvester of souls on your arse?

Lol, I play the eldar in warhammer 40k, I also have a small Dark eldar army...
In response to RainZero
Yes, but note how lame the demo is =P
In response to Ter13
Fuegan is the Phoenix Lord of the Fire Dragon....and dark eldar are aload of [crap].
I was actually thinking of trying to make a warhammer game but not many would like it since i ain't a good coder. I do icons for characters though that is simple.
And Buzzyboy have you figured out what your gonna do then.
