Should i have it so if your invisible you can see yourself, or should i make it so you cant inless you use see_invisible

Change the character's icon a bit(maybe to an outline) If you don't see yourself, it's easy to get confused as to where you're standing. If you can, it's easy to forget when you're invisible or not, or to know when it wears off. So the outline thing is the best of both worlds without their problems(though I realize it requires a bit more work).

One thing you can try is to make it so you can see yourself, and make the icon flash. If your icon is flashing into visibility and invisibility, it's fairly obvious that you're invisible. (Naturally, of course, other people can't see you when you're invisible. That's the definition of invisibility.)
