I have been making (and so far quite good) something and I'm stuck. Just stuck. I have no idea what to do next, yet there's like a mountain of things to add. I would like to know what you usually would do to figure out what to add next to a game. I'm not asking what I would need to do, just some ideas to figure out what to do next.
Just randomly pick one thing that needs doing and start pluggin' them features in! If it seems too hard a job, just plough straight into it - alternatively, take a short break and get back to it in a day or so (but when you do get back, THEN plough into it, otherwise you'll start getting lazy and never do anything about it at all).
Yep... as Crispy mentions, just pick one thing and finish it, regardless of how little fun it is. Having a TODO list can save you a lot of time and trouble in the long run -- make a list of systems, and make them one-by-one. Then, at regular intervals, integrate each system into the project, compile, and test it out.
