Gosh! I have been overtaken with the “Can’t figure out which game to work on” disease. This is where the community comes in. I’m in need of ideas for a game, I don’t care if it’s fan-based, original, or plain out stupid. But I’m in need of ideas.

Recently I have attempted to work on Realm of Mordor, Final Fantasy Online, Dragon Warrior Nova, and Supreme Hockey, and all these games seem to bore me. Realm of Mordor had to many coding errors to even bother searching, finding, and fixing them, and to remake Final Fantasy Online would be a big waste of time. Final Fantasy Legacy has done everything I would want to achieve with Final Fantasy Online.

As for Dragon Warrior Nova, I put some thought into working on that, and decided not to as well. Because, as most of you know, Dragon Warrior Online is on for a big release, which will also consist of everything I wanted to do to Nova, so it’d be a waste of time also.

I’m in need of just some basic ideas to get me on track. I’m receiving a new computer sppm, and the first thing I want to do on it is distribute a new game to the public.

What are you waiting for? Start suggesting!

We could use a good old-fashioned RTS...like WarCraft. BYOND is the only aspect of the gaming universe that is under-served by RTS games!

We could use more board games, if there are any you like.

That goes for card games, too. Just make sure to include computer players. =)

Make a game similar to Diablo. Most popular games in BYOND have people gain power and beat the crap out of other people. But instead you should try making a game where people gain power and use it to help other people beat a certain boss/level.

As for setting and storyline, you're on your own.

I started work on a game called Veteran recently, that is like a real life Warcraft and with many different countries you can be, but after I saw how incredibly big the amount of coding would have to be to include all those countries and not just say, two, I lost quite a bit of interest.

*watches Terra Dominus swell with each new piece of code* Yeah, I can definitely see where you're coming from here. =P
