Upon adding Magic to my game(Dueling Spirit)
I've come across an idea that I want at least a few opinions on.
Which sounds better:
The normal way a player in most RPGs recovers mana mp ect, by use of an inn or by mp-recovery items
or
Players have to use Sword Spirit to recover their "Spirit" (mp). Sword Spirit is obtained by killing enemies, it is actually half the exp gained divided by the players sword level(this makes it to where players don't get the same exp from monsters a lot weaker than them, not to mention the exp system is 100/level). This way makes it to where players that want to use magic have to choose between giving their sword a level or restoring their MP.

I don't know if I like either of them so if you have a better idea Ill listen...

Thanks

Why not make it so mana recovers just by walking around (How fast and how much you gain depends on how good you are with magic, and you can probably get items to help increase faster and by more)?
You could go one step more and have it so that your party has "Alert" and "Casual" status. If your party is on "Alert" they dont recover mana because they are on edge keeping an eye out for the next threat. If they are on "Casual" they recover mana, but are more likely to get caught in a surprize attack.
