Save files.

Is there a way to login on any server and have the same save file no matter who is hosting? That would be real neat, since people keep having to start over every time someone else hosts and they've never logged into that host before.

You could possibly use client side savefiles.

Client side savefiles would be the way to go. You'd have to encrypt them if you didn't want people to edit their own stats, though.

You could also upload the savefiles to a permanent server, but that can get expensive if you're not willing to set up your own. And then if the server goes down you're screwed. =P
