I have noticed the draggy, half-made, unsupported surplus of DragonBall/Z/GT games coming out. Even ones trying to become original fail. So, I have decided to create a Legacy of Goku game to motivate people into creating different style DragonBall/Z/GT games. As you all probably know, this game will be using the same character icons and battle system. Even the same leveling system (it would be nice if anyone has the Legacy of Goku turfs, buildings ETC. and could lend me them [I am in need of Legacy of Goku's landscape turfs, I currently do not have those]). I am not sure if I am going to keep this exact title or even say "Legacy of Goku". I might make it "Legacy of the Z-Fighters" but I have not though about it yet. I was thinking this because you can choose between any Z-Fighter.
The map for this game is massive (currently 500x500 [I will make it bigger, though]) only so the player will get a good feel of the game. This game will have a lot more features than what the original game offers. I have also detailed the map to make it more realistic. I am going to add towns and all. Also, a lot of quests. I mean, what would an LoG game be without quests? Well, enough about all that.
I was wondering what you players would like to see in a Legacy of Goku game. Please, if you have any suggestions and/or ideas, do not hesitate to post them hear. Please do so, I encourage it. Also, as I mentioned earlier, I do not have any LoG landscape turfs, or buildings. If you have these, and would like to support this game, please send them to me. But please contact me first. As you can see, my Pager is GokuDBZ3128. Thank you, and enjoy.

The LoG3 item + level up system was good. But it only worked as a HUD.

Good idea! Why not create a game based off another game to spark originality? Pure genius, I say!
|
*Sigh* Why good is it to ask for suggestions nowadays when people just post way off topic about things they already know the answers too.
Who said it was revolutionary? It uses the same graphics and systems because it is based off of the actual game. It is more like a sequal, get it? |
We're not off topic.
"So, I have decided to create a Legacy of Goku game to motivate people into creating different style DragonBall/Z/GT games." Different style? It seems like an normal RPG to me. |
I believe that the Zeta-ripping masses will not be "encouraged" to do anything other than what is easy and simple- rip.
So why not make a game that shall be ripped just like zeta- but built better? Make a standard DBZ base, coded rebustly, but made open enough to be built opun and made significantly different, instead of just another rip. Sure, it'd be a rip, but it'd be a far BETTER, more playable form of rip that might encourage rippers to code more of their own stuff. Or just get a mod to remove Zeta source off the hub. Anyway, just a thought. |
You've noticed? What, you think this is something new? I've been here for almost four years, and slightly after I showed up, Zeta got leaked. It isn't new, and it has been slowing down. When you acknowledge the problem, it gets worse. The only way to deal with this problem is to shove it off the end of the community and ignore it until they either go through puberty, or they move out of their mom's basement.

I already do. My game is called DragonBall Vortex (http://www.dragonballzvortex.tk) remember? This is just here to stall my other game.

Why 11? Why not LOG: IV?
I mean, legacy of goku 3 is on its way as it stands... seriously though, why 11? |

dont call it LOGXI thats a retarted name, why not LOG:Hidden Dreams, is the number realy making any sense what so ever? i mean you cant realy compete with a real game made by an organized game giant so why claim to be the 10th sequel when you probably (no offense) fail to compete with the original. Use the name LOG if your using a lot from that game but drop the number, its meaniningless. and man, a 500x500 map is pretty damn large, it took me a long time to make a 300x300 and 500x500 is almost 4x that much area, so yeah i guess what im saying is quality of quantity. Start with less and build onto it or youll end up like DBO or many other failed dreams.

You know what would be even better? To create a game that STOPS people making Dragonball Z/GT games altogether. Phew... that'd be an awesome ability. I'd probably apply the same concept and make games to stop people from voting Republican, games to stop people from breaking traffic laws, and games to stop stupid people from breeding. =) |
Why not call it, Rip Me! That's your intention, right? To make a generic game core for DBZers to tear to hell and hack back together. Why beat around the bush? It's not like you're actually making a bonafide game, or anything. Besides, this way the rip kiddies can find it easier.
Just my 2 dimes, but I think this is a really awful idea, all around. The only way you're going to influence the reduction of rips in the community, is to make a game so stunningly awesome, so spectacularly great, that any attempt to compete with it would be futile. If you could make a game in such a way that ripping it's icons would be nearly impossible, copying its gameplay would be madness, and emulating it in even the most flattering way would result in shame, then you have done some good. Making a rippable core for the kiddies to devour and mutilate is only going to lead to another wave of rips, this time, yours AND Zeta, because face it, Zeta's a popular game amongst most rippers. That's not saying you shouldn't go ahead and make your own DB game, if that's what your intentions really are, but don't realease it as a rip core. You'll only add to the problem. ~X |

Mind your own business, damn canadian. -_- The state of American affairs is my business, thank you very much. When America is run by an idiot, Canada suffers. =P See, that's pretty much the problem with American thinking... they don't quite grasp that every nation is a part of the same world. What happens to one country affects the whole world, so it's everyone's business if American duties are established on Canadian softwood lumber, if Germans refuse to support an Iraqi invasion, if India threatens Pakistan with nuclear force. Anyway, this is getting off topic. |
