Well, good point o_O. They could just use Advanced Find/Replace and replace the comments with spaces, but the point was so they'd hopefully get bored and decide to try to understand it while they were in the process of "uncommenting" multiple lines of.."Code."

Oh right, I see your meaning.
I thought you meant add comments, not comment out the actual good stuff.

But Byond games already use the core "engine" software that Byond comes with- networked play, tile movement, etc. (Quite a few inbuilt procs, too)

That made me change my mind about chronicles. You're right; BYOND is a good enough engine in itself; chronicles would just make similar games.

That would be horrible, not to mention that Vakir would be the one commenting out each line one by one. If it's going to be a library, then that is FAR below BYOND's library standards.

This sounds great. Some may say that DBZ game creators will use it to pump out more DBZ games (affectionately called "zeta rips", regardless of their origin), but I say that anything that allows the lowest common denominator among games to the next level is an improvement in and of itself. Besides, BYOND itself is a program designed to make game creation near-to-effortless! That's why we have so many partially functioning games! Props to you for putting work into this project.

Don't bash it just because it has the CAPABILITY to allow people to make similar games easily, because anyone who used it would be able to modify it however they liked, and add on to it.

You misread my post, appearantly. I'm not bashing, just making constructive criticism to help people to understand what they are using. I, personally, don't like including libraries in my game without reading through them and understanding how they work. If you don't, you are just taking the lazy way out which results in more work for you later. I think the idea is great, innovative, and with a little work an overall good for the community.
That's great that you've got a project you're excited about, but Creations is for things that are already created. A post about something you're just starting, or working on but not even to the point of testing yet, doesn't go there. Moved.

Uh?
Yeah, I said X product No.3.
Did you hear right?
Yeah, No.3. X. Product.
Chronicle? As in... Chronicle, the engine that was developed in VB?
