Overworld Maps

Well I thought Id design a overworld map, for players to travel on when they need to get to one area from another.

Problem is, I dont know how to show forests on the map that you can enter, especially since some of them are just on the map, to be there.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

Make them a little bit discolored, or have a weird shape.
Like, instead \, /, or instead of brown, a light brown.

Why make them look different? Do the final fantasy thing, let players discover which forests are enterable.

i dont know, what your forrest icon looks like... perhaps you can make a whole into it, like the entrance to a cave
