Has anyone really done functional mirrors in a game? Like you walk by and you see your reflection in the mirror.
|
Dunno anyone who has, unless Kunark did like the other guy said, but its not really that hard so why exactly are you asking? Just wondering or were planning on making it but didnt know it was possible?

You make an underlay on each side of the character for their mirror image and set the object's layer to under turf layer. Mirrors are then constructed by putting a full-tile glass that is turf layer-2, then any wood and framing for the mirror is a separate object that is placed on top of the glass that is on turf layer.
That way, when players walk by a mirror, their overlay for that side comes into view. It's not an actual rendered reflection, but it's a cheap trick to imitate it. |
Yes. I believe Kunark has.
