Ok, what would you guys think of a morpg taking place in the world of Final Fantasy 7. You arent playing as Cloud or anyone from the gang but im thinking more of someone from soilder who experienced the same type of experiments cloud went through. I will defenetly put a plot in that encorporates Cloud, seperoth, and everyone. As for the timeline, im not sure weather to make it before or after final fantasy 7.

Go for it, I've seen many many FFVII games come through and none have lasted. I have been working on one for 4 and a half years... it was really starting to look nice, until my hard drive crashed and the only back up i have is an old old buggy engine with a damn good chocobo system thats all. If you need any help just ask, I'll see what I can fit into my schedule(work and skating suck up all my time). Anyways I think I'm going to just make a chocobo game, cause I loves me some chocobos.

Pesonally, i think final fantasy is overated and playing a shinra soldier with enhanced powers is pointless, and falls into the generic RPG pit of doom. If you think it will suceed go for it, though just know there is probably a bigger market for original games and not games that slaughter a game hundreds have come to love. (excluding myself)
