Mer actully, there are more rumors around for a lot more 3rd party characters in SSB:B due to the fact Snake is showing up.
Some of the most wanted are Sonic, Geno and Simon Belmont. | |

No he isn't more of a "Playstation" Charater, he is more of a SquareEnix charater, who owns the rights to him, not Sony.
I mean, I really honestly don't think Sora would actully show up in SSB:B, but the chance is better now that Nintendo has landed some 3rd party charaters. If they do get some more 3rd party ones, it is most likely going to be like Capcom or Sega ones. | |
From what I heard, the only reason why Snake was in there is because the owner of the character "begged" the SSB:M director guy to add him. I doubt Nintendo is doing any shopping around for other third party characters; they'll have to come on their own.

I didn't say playstation owned him...
I said he's more of a play station character because the two main kingdom hearts titles were on the playstation....most people don't think "OMG KINGDOM HEARTS CHAIN OF MEMORIES GBA NINTENDO !" they think of the playstation games. And I'm sure not as many people played or even heard of chain of memories as kingdom hearts and kingdom hearts 2 since it was on a completely different system. So if someone saw him on a nintendo game when the two main games were on the playstation they'd be a little confused. | |
The owner of Snake is Capcom, they own the Metal Gear franchise.
And I highly doubt Capcom begged them. | |

BTW Chain of Memories was released before Kingdom Hearts II to kind of rev people up for the 2nd one on the PS2.

It didn't have to be "grovel at my feet" begging. I'll go find the link, but I read that Kojima wanted Snake in the Gamecube version too but they were too late in development to fit him in at the time.

However I don't think that game was advertised as much as the other two were and not all people keep up with games on the internet so they might not have heard of it. | |

It is not rumors that there will be more, it is fact, it is just rumor as to who it will be. Shortly after the E3 showing, the japanese website held a vote to decide another character to be added to the game, so it is certain there will be at least one more.
And he did not beg to have the character in the game, though it isn't surprising that someone like IGN would report that. He did, however, ask them for it. And for the record...Meta Knight will own j00 all :O | |
