I need some strategies for calculating damage for my DBZ game. I dont plan on using strength or defense in it because then i dont see the point of having powerlevels and kilevel.I need a damage system that is based on power and Level(i have a level system that starts at one and goes up to seven as you train.)
damage = power + Level
Something like,
((for physical damage))
damage = (powerlevel/#*level) The # all depends what power levels would be average in your game. e.g. if your players would normally have a power level over 1000 then # should be 10 or even 100 if HP isnt a very big number.

you could also do the same with energy attacks;

damge = (powerlevel/#*kilevel((+level aswell if you want the level system to up energy attack too.))

p.s. Im a very very novice coder and i've just started my own game but i'd be very happy to help if you need anything, it would proberbly help me learn aswell.
