Hello, this may be kind of simple...But what do people want to see in an Anime interface? I know statpanels are out; but I want to know how the players would like to see it, so I can make my interface more player-friendly.

Not my suggestion for an "anime" interface but for interfaces for all games. Tab your damned chat outputs. It would be nice to be able to switch between the infamous all-in-one output to server chat, local chat, game messages, etc. and not be forced to see everything cluttered into one output.

Thank you for the suggestion! Coincidentally, we already had that idea! But thank you anyways!

I personally dont like "tabbed" outputs, but seperated outputs are good.

yea, it would be ugly as my mother
maybe checkboxes below the output that picks what output you see by having three outputs on top of eachother using winshow() to decide what output element appears? |

How on earth is such an 'ugly' solution better than neatly embedding all your outputs into a tab interface element, which automatically does the scaling, the selection/display and everything else you need?

It's probably not, tabs just seem "overused"

Overused != bad.

did I say it was bad?

It wouldn't be strange at all for a player to want to be able to see both game status messages and chat messages at the same time, eliminating the need to constantly switch back and forth.

That isn't what he suggested at all though and could be very well achieved with the tab interface element.

Try one and see how it works. If your players seem to like tabs better, use that. If they like separate outputs, use that.

Perhaps having it tabbed, while having a tab that receives all of the communications?
So it's best far all players. Another thing, is personal Mute button. Or you can call it an ignore verb. but thats not interface, so never mind that. My suggestion is making tabs for different types of inventory. I do it on mine. |

A tab inside a tab! inside the All tab, there are tabs, for combinations of tabs, local chat/world chat, all chats/system messages, et al. Eh? |
