Hola mi gente.

So ive been browsing the forums alot later and there is so much discussion on what to do and what not to do when training so i thought i might aswell try and make a thread so i can get a broad scope on what the vast majority of potential players would like to see when it comes to character building (or w.e the technically correct term is)

The game im creating is a fangame that is /loosely/ based on katekyo hitman reborn meaning that only the "Family", "Affinity", "skills", "weapons" etc will be based off the anime everything else will be as wide as a scope i can to make gameplay as fun as possible.

So what would keep you guys around in a game?
What would keep me in a game? Solo/Team missions using SwapMaps by LummoxJR. I think that it is a really neat thing. You could do a mission with a squad, or solo, and gain Exp for it. There could be very good AI's that are usually a certain level, but stats are increased a bit for each level you are higher than them (or the average level of your squad) to still make it challenging.

Also, group fighting for Exp would be fun. You could challenge another squad. You would have to have the squads be within 2 levels of eachother once the levels were added up though, and you'd have to watch out for people that try to cheat this method.

New areas to seek out. X level needed to enter a certain place. So you go train to be able to access that awesome area!

An intuitive interface that not only looks nice but works smoothly.
Seeking out certain players that have to be killed for a mission to be completed.

A place where you can have a 1 vs 1 match with anyone whom you choose.

Being able to gamble, or trade, items.

This. AI is important. If the only thing you're fighting is mobs that run up to you and spam attack then it won't be a very fun game. People skip this element far too often.

i see i see.

So detailed AI is always a plus alongside explorable content.

heck yea...

random comment that didn't contribute to the discussion in anyway.
Definitely not leveling or training. But I guess nothing can pull me into a game at this point...

Yay.

well as it is my game uses stats so some form of stat upping is needed and that comes in the form of PvP, PvE and as it is atm a number of other tidbits such as.

Courses for Agility
Random mind games such as mazes maybe for int
a stump that gives lower exp then any other form of training.
Weighting, Gyms
etc
