howw much is game coding worth do coders get paid by the hour or just a certain amount depending on what the code is

It depends on what the programmer is doing. If it is something simple and basic them might just ask for a set price. If they are programming large complicated systems they right want by the hour or per line or whatever. If it is a whole game the price will vary as well. Without knowing exactly what they will be doing, there is no clear answer to this question. And even if we did know what they were doing it would vary from programmer to programmer. Someone with a lot of free time who likes a challenge might do it for free, or if they have little free time but need the money they might request a decently large amount.

well i need a job system that lets you upgrade your weapons with points..and thst lets you gain relichunting exp from getting drops and other things also a critical hit system that works by doing dam calculated by max str and enemies def as in if u have 300str and the monsters def is 300 u wilol have 1% chance ..if the range is 300 monster def and u have 350 str+equip bonus then the chance will be calculated by doing lets say if thje def is 300 and the atk is 350 then 50 is 15.333 hmm thats to high well make it
15.333/5 which is 3.111% chance of critical that way u will need to continously lvl up to have a critical hit chance on more powerful monsters anyway ya so i guess if anyone can make this to me its worth top dollar cause id like to get a game up and running eventually. | |
You might also need to hire a grammar translator so that the programmer can understand what you want. ;)

There is no set amount. On a free game engine like BYOND you could probably give a set price saying you'll pay a quarter of it in advance to start building the game and the rest once it is finished and then a weekly/monthly payment to keep updating.
As for the amount, it could be anything from 10 dollars to 500 dollars depending on the size and complexity of the game. A lot of people will do it for free, or simply a membership. Try advertising in the Classified Ads section detailing exactly what you want, and it is not a joke, you should improve your grammar, I really could not decipher what you were trying to say. :P | |
