I'm a newbie and I need some help part II

Ok, thanks to some people out there, I can now edit my map =) but now I have another problem...my characters have whit behind them, how do I make it so the characters blend in with the scenery?

In the icon editor, click the transparent colour (the top-left-most one), click the Flood button, then click on the white area. That should do it.
