The only similarity between Asteroids and Flappy Bird is that they are both games. Flappy Bird doesn't even use a vector display, so it loses by default. Either way, I don't think he was referring to Asteroids.

Well they've moved onto Pokemon Crystal, my favorite Pokemon title of all time, so I couldn't resist but to tune in and see what they were up to this time. Pretty much the same crap. Everyone spamming "Praise Bird Jesus" in the chat and running around in circles. They've been playing for 31 minutes and Totodile has only leveled once. 31 minutes into Pokemon Crystal and you should be ready to fight the 2nd gym leader. What is this, I don't even?
Just goes to show even if your game idea sounds completely ridiculous, you should make it anyway because 90k people just might obsess over it. In fact, this could easily be put on BYOND as well. There could be an RPG designed where the hero ( or heroes ) do whatever the players type, and to make it competitive, you could have multiple servers racing against each other, with some type of progress monitor on the hub that keeps track of how far into the game each server has gotten. Once one server reaches the end, all servers reset themselves and a new race begins. It could even come integrated with some type of "Lore" feature, where the players can write and edit all their little religions or whatever it is they call it into the game. If they want a Bird Jesus or Holy Fossil, they can log that into an html file which can be read by anyone who joins the server so new players will know what's going on. Still, playing it wouldn't be my cup of tea, but for some reason that sounds like something really fun to develop. I JUST MIGHT DO IT. I got the entire week off and nothing better to do! | |
Exactly. You should've seen how long it took them to Cut the tree down near Vermillion City gym. They were literally just walking around near it, and saving the game over and over for God knows how long. I can't believe more people are now watching and/or participating in this ridiculousness than League of Legends and Hearthstone. If there's ever been a sign of the impending apocalypse, it's THIS RIGHT HERE.
