I might make my own game but don't know how to turn jpg files into .dmi files for the images can DM read jpg? or does it have to be .dmi?

BYOND currenly supports: PNG, DMI, and BMP. To change a jpg into dmi you have to cut, copy, paste the indivual icons. For PNG and BMP files use the "Import" option in the icon editor and it will automaticly split it into 32x32 icons for you.
