As has been established on this thread, "DBZer" is synonomous with the leet-term "n00b" -- an obnoxious kid. DBZer is distinguished from DBZ Fan, just as "n00b" is distinguished from newbie.

As has been tried to be established at other times, using the term "pbagger" instead of "DBZer" would have avoided the mess. Stating behavior instead of name-calling would have been even better.

I haven't really gotten pbagger drilled into me. And, since a certain someone seems to think I am one, I hate to use it.

Besides that, just calling someone a DBZer is less offensive than calling someone a pbagger, since EVERYONE on BYOND -- almost -- knows that people who whack on pbags all day are insulted madly by the longer-standing members that be.

I do agree with avoiding name-calling, though. I think I have yet to call anyone anything around here, though I admit I am guilty of saying things implicative of titles.

Very Stereotypical. not every "DBZer" is young. I like DBZ but i respect it enough not to make a Byond game of it. Some people are how you dipicted them on a desert island wishing for SSJ. but the "DBZers" that are'nt bought into consideration would not. And i would not dub them "DBZers" at all, but devoted fans of an anime.

I've said in other posts on this thread that I'm specifically referring to the users who fit the stereotype, not to all DBZ fans. The term "DBZer" does not refer to all DBZ fans as a group. I wouldn't dub the mere fans DBZers either; only the ones who also happen to be the stereotypical kind. (It's unfortunately not a small percentage of the group, but it by no means is the whole group.)

Don't worry, I've been hidden away, hard at work on a Ranma 1/2 game. Soon to be released! With the dbgt iconz and pbag127s! The first (but hopefully not the last) gender-twisting power-gaining RPG on BYOND!

LMAO! there certainly is a resemblance between your post and sob's. Your's is slightly exaturated but it seems to follow the same train of thought as sob's. Reminds me a little child getting frustrated and trying to type things, except it all comes outin a jumbled bunch of words*, mixed together in no particular order.

*Most are not really words, but madeup words. Anything over 4 letters is shortened or removed from the sentence.

I don't know if that's true. I think BYOND has perhaps attracted an unfair representation of the group. Maybe it's because we have so many pbaggin' games that we get so many pbaggers. Outside of BYOND, I don't think any of the DBZ fans I've met fall in this category. Quite a few of them are rather intelligent and interesting people.

Ok pbags..... HMMMMMMM RIGHT THINK OF SOMETHING NEW! Dbz the episodes are great and thinks like super duper dbz transforming pbags are gay and provide no fun. So make something new or orignal and prefabbly --NOT--(see NOT) a dbz game. It may look fun by rpg games or a racing game are a lot funner to make then a dbz game so please try not to make a dbz game. May i finish of by saying i hope they dont make bpags

But how many of those have been in real life, or in a community known to attract more mature people?
I tend to think that what we're seeing here is more representative of the group than, say, someone you might talk to in a grocery store or meet at a party. I think a lot of normal life insulates adults from the pubescent age segment.

My age does not concern you what so ever(Sob). And as many people have said you "will/should" get banned i hope, you do. Sorry about that Lummox i was away from Byond for a while so i did not visit the forums. But in my absence i see some real S.O.B's have come to the forums. =D

NOTE: i know that this post will trigger more excrutiatory matter from Sob's mouth and onto the forum, but i had to convey my point =p

You could always put one of those "Lesure Suit Larry Maturity Test" type things to prevent youngsters from accessing the designer sections of BYOND :oP

you know whats the worst about these DBZ games, the REAL DBZ games were like a tern based rpg, with random combat(yes i have played them, but no im not a big DBZ fan but when i was a kid i liked them but i was not a DBZer) so they cant even take the efort to make the game a good rip off, its like that epesode of "that 70's show" where they go to a ted nugent concert and try selling fake shirts that say tad nugget. So if someone can make a rip off that realy resembles the REAL DBZ games than ill give them props like DWO is almost just like DW and DQ. Ok im done rambling for now, and sorry for my spelling i just got back from a party so im not all together(just so you know im not drunk or high)

A long time ago, I could've taken the test and passed, probably, but I was honest when I admitted I was 13. ;-)

Three DBZers wash up from a shipwreck on a desert island and they find a lamp. They rub it and a genie pops out, saying he'll grant them each one wish. The first DBZer wishes to be SSJ, and poof! he's SSJ. The second asks for double-super SSJ, and poof! he's double-super SSJ. The third asks to be so ultra-SSJ that he's the strongest guy on the planet, and poof! he is. The genie goes back into the lamp, and the three are stranded on the island for the rest of their lives.
well, i watch DBZ when there is nothin on... and i hate to break it to you, but they can fly....

I'll bring [link] for reference again. =P

Just because someone is given the power doesn't mean they can use it.

Best example -- purely hypothetical, though, since it's a little off-colour -- is to hand an assault rifle to a kid on the street. Chances are, the kid will kill himself, rather than others.

even the srtongest man in the world might not be able to beat the champ in boxing because he has not trained!, so he doesnt know how to land a punce or in this case fly. But if he was trained by the champ than he would learn to punch but it seem no one is there to train them to fly now is there?
In response to Scoobert

being as they are DBZers thay probly saw the episode where the first person learned to fly(i dident).

then if you have the knowlege they could train themselves.
