I would strongly advice you to not wipe. All that would do is cause a surge of people to come that are just there for starter ranks, which would leave when they find out they didn't get one and cause the old players whom had already dumped a lot of time in effort into the previous saves to leave causing an overall loss of players for the game.

Lol Ikr. ^ Hope we get some make up days for the time missed too xD. Could've had a new perk by now Q_Q But then again you guys did good with that last time by allowing us to post our rps at 1 time. [ This is a bit different considering we have had no game time at all though. ] Keep up the good work.

As I see it, the surge is what we're after. The old players are most likely to stay (the 10-20 regulars we had) even if there was a wipe. There would be no significant difference besides the wild surge players bandwagon onto ranks. It's a cheesy draw, but it works sometimes.
Though honestly if people just invited more, it could work out. When you're a player standing in an empty village for 1-3 days, you tend to quit. Even if there's one or two other active people. | |
I'm not sure what you're talking about empty village. At least in Suna there was almost always 4-10 people just running around doing something.
While a surge would be nice, we want a steady growth of players who will continue to play over time. Not just a bunch of one and done players hoping the get a strong starter character so that they can wreck havoc on all the newbies without any negative consequences (Seriously, look at most RP games, starter characters are douche bags more often then not, cause they're every angsty teenager's wet dream of power). The old players would probably not stay as a bunch of them just got Genin, and wouldn't want to be subjected to the academy all over again. To summarize, a wipe would probably injure/kill off the current player base, while bringing on a temporary player base, thus nothing would be gained. | |

Nothing is gained from wiping, it would be the lessened result of the initial playerbase; you'll have exactly what Miranda foretold, you are going to get a rather sizable amount of players initially--they will not get something that makes them notable with minimal effort, and quit; and the converse of that: receive something to make them notable and go inactive to quitting as it is. Technically, there have already been four Kages to leave. Wiping is counter-productive, especially to the progression some places are undergoing in the community that is trying.

Oh god! No wipe? :I And King by bro, you shoulda know ppl would assume a wipe since the game is down (Yesh we know y'all be updating) dat a wipe might loly happen. But yeh I am glad to hear you are not planning to wipe, since really the core players who do play would most like leave. For example, the core players who take the time to check to see if the games up everyday or drop a post on here every now and then. Those are the players you wana keep.
Focusing on core players it eh way to go on long lasting wipes. See, if you have 20 core players then have a t.s for that mass player pull, the core player base will grow. That's how must if not all long lasting wipes build up to be so large. :I | |
