I forgot too. Honestly.

I remember I was sleeping when it happened... My mom called from work to tell me to turn on the news to see what was going on...

When she first told me, she had said something like "two planes have just attacked the World Trade Center"

My initial assumption was that she meant some foreign military planes had been attacking... Shooting the towers or something... So my first words were "Wow, somebody's F'ed!" Because obviously, if this were a foreign military action, some country out there was soon to simply cease to exist...

But then it was better explained, and the realization set in that things were a whole lot more difficult to respond to...

I turned on the TV (didn't matter what station, of course), and began to soak everything in...

Over the next few days, I watched a LOT of that coverage... Even though most of it was the same things over and over, it was hard to pull away from...

It's hard to imagine that it was almost 5 whole years ago, though...
