Anyway, Germinfestedman, you can only party with 4 people you retard.
Good God man. Quit the Germinfestedman crap. It's old, it's stupid and it's not getting any better each time we have to hear it. Get over your stupid grudge already, and while you're at it break up the ROFLs because it's screwing up the page.
Silkwizard, I love you for prooving that BYOND RPGs don't need to be confined to that of a small childs mind.
I like the idea of being able to refund one point every bunch of levels -- in case you make a mistake, or you choose a skill and decide that you really, really hate it. However, I'm against full-on refunds.

Also, stop flaming and getting good discussion deleted.
Can't wait to play this game. Combining skills and such is a unique feature on BYOND. Havent seen it in any other games. Brilliance. Well, Silk. I must say, You've taken BYOND to a new level. My brother, Bwgmon, was just pointing out to me that you said the game would be released in June. Do you think it's possible with only 2 days left in the month?
He said June. He never said 2006. ;]
Nice one Airjoe... but thats like a kick in the nads to everybody :(
Best for last indeed.

I have no idea what that lord of light guy was talking about, the skill system in AA is nothing like the one in Cabal. It doesn't even resemble it at all, I've played the game (not to mention the game is just another crappy thrown together korean MMO with no purpose besides grinding.)

In Cabal the interface is basically the same as has a lot of the same concept, maybe if you got somewhat decent on the game you'd know what I mean. Besides it is an awesome game, WoW has more grinding then Cabal. Think before you speak buddy, it'll go you a bit farther in life.
interface != system

If you have two buttons, both identical, yet do different things, are they the same?
"If you have two buttons, both identical, yet do different things, are they the same?"

Schrodinger's cat'd
quantum'd
theoretical physics'd
hawking radiation'd
occam's razor'd
other assorted stuff'd
The system comes down to almost the exact same thing, so interface=system.
From what I read, Cabal has set character classes, although you can mix certain spells with each other or something like that. Other than the fact that they both feature some sort of mixing, I didn't see too much in common.

Granted, I didn't find very much information, so I could be wrong. Either way Acheron's Awakening is still going to play a lot differently.
Even if it is the same system, Cabal is a still a bad game. A good system in a bad game doesn't do much. Also, the fact that Cabal has character classes kind of compromises the whole point.
Character classes help make it more user friendly, and it's a pretty good game. But like I said before Silk, this is a big step in BYOND gaming, so...*starts to try and duplicate your system*

I'd really like to know how you display all that hud.
not hard :P
The only semi-difficult aspect of the HUD was this:

http://members.byond.com/?command=view_post&post=13677

But that was only a problem becuase of the sheer number of different HUDs. Creating an onscreen HUD is fairly simple. Item dragging/dropping is pretty simple too, but it definitely takes some careful planning to implement properly.

First of all, did he once say anything about WoW not having grinding? Stop bringing up useless points. Maybe you should think before you speak because obviously it's not going you very far in life for you right now. Also, in your first post you said AA is EXACTLY the same as Cabal Online, yet in this post it's just "basically the same." Make up your mind. Just because something is similar and has similar concepts and looks similar doesn't mean it's the exact same thing. Every single game nowadays has similar concepts with another game, it's how video games are. So for you to say, "OMG JUST LIKE CABAL ONLINE NO DIF THAN OTHER MMORPG" just proves you to be a flaming idiot. I've personally never played Cabal Online, so I don't know whether or not it's interface is indeeed similar, but even if it is, who cares. Good games have a story that compells you to play the game further, and from what Silk says AA has it. That is what makes it different from every other MMORPG, not the interface. The interface is only the way in which you view and interact with the world, the story is the world itself. Saying two games are the same because the interface is similar is like going up to twins and saying they're the exact same person because they look the same regardless of their personalities. You're and idiot and you should just stop talking. It'll go you farther in life.
This IS a work of art Silk! I love how the skill system set up, it's genious! Great work on the game, I'm gonna be a real happy gamer when I play it. :)
