I am just curious; where are all the BYOND developers now? Are they making any games now? I am developing a game. Since late spring this year I have been working on my game Hunter X Hunter Online. Now I sent my graphic artist a lot of jobs so he will take a while to complete them. Then I have to send other artists other works. So I am developing games. Why not?
I'm not too sure what the other developers are doing. I do know a fair amount of developers just finished up a two week contest. Aside from that, I'm not sure what people are working on nowadays.

As for me, I'm currently working on something however not enough to show off any screenshots. The majority of what I have finished are core systems or system outlines. Fortunately, I'm working at a decent pace and this week should be rather productive. This project is one of few that I've went out of my way to flesh out a design document as well as create concept art; granted the latter is just awful, but makes its point known.
Pokemon game here.
After the contest ended I shofted my energy back to Magus Aora Legends.

Pokémon game and Galaxy Exploration(possibly an evolution game in the future) game here.
I am a programmer who can't seem to find a pixel artist willing to do anything, only reason I haven't published any games.
I've been busy with libraries and tools like: On-screen compass,Make My Dream and My Classroom.

My main project right now is Pokemon Atom though, which features the classic turn based battle and animations.
Bit

and my Megaman framework

Why is everyone making a Pokemon game??!@!?!
I've been a long-time fan of your Megaman game! =D
and LOL don't ask me, My game is older than all the others who said they were making one! xD
Comments like that make me want to work on it more. Thanks! :)

Looks stunning, please finish.
I develop two games:

https://github.com/Doohl/Origin (C++)

The second one is a small roguelike I've been working on now for a few years.
I'm working on a survival game with some influence from SS13. Aiming for January 1st with about five months of work put in so far.
Very early stages of an Action-RPG game. Mostly implementing simple stuff like level geometry, movement, and all the support infrastructure needed so content can be added in later.
We're currently working on: Alternate Worlds.

Hoping to have it out for the public before Christmas, it's an RPG focusing on dynamic gameplay so that each server has the potential to be completely different. Trying to make use of the new features of BYOND 500 as well, so SFX are making use of animate and we're currently playing with the possibilities and limitations.

(Click here for images taken so far, though everything is subject to change and improvement)
I'm glad to hear others are working on games! I thought what happened to oh her developers?
Nice. It's always fun to see what everyone is up to and which projects to look forward to. =)

Over at Eternia, Doohl is chugging away at the RP version and consistently making awesome progress / improvements to the design, gameplay, and performance. Megablaze was also commissioned with some neat updates and completed his work roughly a month ago, which included a much better spell interface, a bunch of new spells, and faction selection.

We're (and by we're I mean SAx, Ter13, Sneep/our artist, and myself) are also working on a full re-write of the game, along with a PvP version, branched out from the RP source. The latter should be live far sooner than the re-write (maybe within 3 months), but expect the re-write to a much better game as it's essentially a sequel.

The PvP version, branched from the RP source, includes:

Four races / factions, taken directly from Eternia RP's lore.

Each faction has a quest line that explores the troubles they face in the world of Eternia and the enemies they're up against, with dynamic boss fights / faction exclusive loot along the way. Each faction also has their own skill tree, excluding humans-- instead of a skill tree, humans can purchase spells at a cheaper rate, making them a jack-of-all-trades race.

The races are--

Human. Members of this faction are born with the rare ability to conjure magic, which isn't common among humans in the world of Eternia; roughly 2% are capable. The biggest benefit to creating a human is that all skill trees are at a discounted price, providing much more flexibility / choice at the cost of a lack of distinct racial abilities.

Drakanite. Spiritually bound to the dragon race, Drakanites are capable of shapeshifting, ranging from a dragon's claw to full fledged wings and horns. They're constantly at the threat of hunters due to the rare magical properties that their corpse entails.

Ookami. Woof woof. A weird group of mutants that, much like the Drakanites, possess a spirit animal--the wolf. They're totally not furries. The people of Eternia believe that Ookami are cursed and bring bad luck, essentially making them outcasts. They live in the Wanderer's Valley, a desert sanctuary that is outside the Crown's territory.

Oscuri. Servants to Azrael, the most notorious Fallen Angel in Eternia's history. The Oscuri are a clan of humans that were mutated by Azrael's corrupted magic, enhancing their lust for battle. They wield a green energy that can be manipulated in all sorts of cool ways--lazers, wings, a barrage of punches, etc.

Faction wars.

The lore is depicted in a war that puts all of the four races against each other. They're at war and there will be several features to provide competition. You can earn achievements by participating in these events, that allow the player to purchase items from the faction's store -- these items are gradually unlocked as they gain rep by doing well in the Faction Wars.

-- Death Matches. Scheduled events where opposing factions can duke it out on an instanced map, aiming to earn the most kills and points by the end of it.

-- King of The Hill. Similar to the Death Match, except the faction earns points depending on how long they are able to keep the 'hill' captured / defended against.

-- Capture The Flag. The opposing teams each start in their own fort, with a flag to defend and a goal to capture the enemies and bring it to their base.

Other stuff...

-- variety of engaging and immersive dungeons with great music, sound effects, and cool, Zelda-style boss fights.

-- bunch of side quests that aren't linked to the main storyline.

-- lots and lots of loot. Eternia RP currently has something like 60 weapon sprites. Eternia PvP will have roughly 150, which the artist is working on next, once he's completed some very cool looking tiles.

-- a new map. Eternia RP's is very bad and was done by myself roughly a year and a half ago. Despite improvements, the basic structure has always been pretty horrid. We'll be redoing the map for the PvP server. It'll be half the size of Eternia RP's but nice and detailed.
What about a scoreboard?

would love to make a hitman reborn game... but currently im not interested in making any type of game until i find a competent pixel art partner or a really amazing game concept.

as of lately i've been watching the card saga war videos on repeat so i might decide to make some sort of fighting game... or a base with some nice fighting animations.
