With the "5 minutes away from school" comment, I assume you mean that they're mailing them to you?

If so, I have to inform you that close distance means nothing... The postal worker can't just grab the letter from the school's mailbox, and walk it down the street to your house...

Nope... They pick it up there, take it to the post office to be processed, then it gets shipped to the nearest USPS routing station (which may be in another town entirely; for instance, ours is about 2 hours away) to get the postmark stamp, then it gets sent back to your local post office, and finally, it gets delivered to you...

So yeah, being close to the source means nothing... Your grade card has a lot of traveling to do regardless...

In fact, if you and your school are both far away from your local post office, it will take just a bit longer to get to you than for someone who may be far away from the school, yet closer to the post office!

Inefficient and stupid, yes, but apparently, it works for them...
I'm in ure school, stealin ure cards
Yeah, they are mailing them.
I understand that mailing takes awhile, but this is the first year they have done it and I can't understand why they are doing it.
