Is every newby coder out there against me?

I directed an utter newbian (newb, mind, not 'noob' or anything) to the DM Guide, but he just wouldn't budge. In the end, after telling him a dozen times, he posted a sort of "threat" with a link to porn, something about respect. Meh. Could care less.

A few days ago, I helped the poor fellow, he said "Thanks". I thought he was quite friendly. (Not many people say something back, and if they do, it goes like: "dat code dun work". (On a side note, it DOES, you don't know HOW to use it. Doh.))

Anyhow, now, when someone asks for help, he goes; "Bet Mysame can't do this.", a dozen times, with a sort of *wink* smiley. I freaking hate that.

And well, Sorcerb... Everybody hates him, don't you? DON'T YOU....
I didn't know how much bull a human could say before the end of a day before I saw that guy positng. Every post with his name still gives me the shivers, wiiiii.

*sigh*. Anyway, any of you like to bash someone? :o

PS; ATHK, you're annoying as well. o.o
If you post something that's not about how bad Digi is, at least post something semi-constructive.
"Well said yo" posts aren't really helpfull.
ATHK needs to drop his superior attitude, it pisses me off.
On that note, he needs help detecting sarcasm too. :\
ATHK thinks he is contributing to the community, and is quite respect-demanding, while he REALLY thinks he's being respected that much.

He should stop his attempts to be seen as some "BYOND guru"... Man... =/
Well, I try to help on the Developer Board whenever I can, and I barley get "this code don't work".

May-be I'm just not running into the super super "new people"?

All you can do is direct them to the DM Guide, and hope they stick to it like glue.

Oh, and by the way...
Bet Mysame can't do this. ;)
There are far, far more 'bad' newbies then good ones - my classification method is that 'people who obviously don't want to learn' are 'bad' newbies, and the 'good' ones do want to learn.

Really, just make snide comments at the bad ones and point the good ones to places where they can learn - with the occasional code snippet for instructive or demonstrative purposes - and they'll figure it out. They're good like that.
well said yo

I had to do it. Lol.
