Tom travelled 40 miles down I-84 E (stopped and got a postcard in Columbia River Gorge), turned left and crossed Bridge of the Gods, and went about 4 miles SW down WA-14 to North Bonneville. Or they could have taken canoes down Columbia River. They set up camp at Beacon Rock State Park (hence the park ranger).
Since the only major road from North Bonneville goes back to Vancouver, they must be at the park to take the Kueffler road north (or north east) into the mountains. So I can only assume the next destination is Mount St Helens. Unless they make a stop before there. | |
