The last time I spoke to him was on June 9th. It was actually a pretty productive meeting -- we worked through some of the last technical issues with the new guild forum stuff. He seemed a bit pressed for time, but then I thought maybe he just had big Friday night plans for that evening.
Since then, the BYOND development team hasn't heard one peep from Tom. No forum posts, no emails, no instant messages. I even called his place and talked to his roommate. According to the roomie, Tom just up and left early last Saturday morning (June 10th). Didn't say where he was going or for how long. Just took off on his bike, leaving everything else behind. Apparently his laptop is still on in his room, as if he were coming right back.
We've been kind of concerned, as Tom was helping us push towards the impending release of guild features. He'd also informed us that he'd been getting closer and closer to a 4.0 beta, or at least 'alpha'. We're doing the best that we can in his abrupt absence, but a few things may be delayed even more than expected.
Then yesterday I got this mysterious postcard in the mail. It doesn't say it's from Tom, but I think I recognize the handwriting. It talks about riding (bike?), so it's probably him writing from wherever he disappeared to.

What's really odd is that the address isn't even close to right, but it still got here! How did the postal service know? Maybe that's why it took a week.
Apparently Tom wants us to play a little game and figure out where he's headed next. Actually, that would be really helpful, because the development team needs to get ahold of him! We originally planned to use this 'Dantom del Byondo' site as a private guild and move all of the BYOND development discussion here. But now that Tom's missing, I think we'll use it to try to find him.
We're already a week behind, so I hope we get more postcards, and soon. Can you figure out where he'll be next?
