PSA: Gamestop employees are not allowed to tell a customer no if they have a copy of a game on hand. Even if it is reserved.
Meaning: Show up for the midnight launch, or you might be waiting a week to get one from the second or third shipment. I know this because I bought the last copy of Skyrim without a pre-order, and the guy behind me got angry because he had pre-ordered it and I hadn't. I offered to sell him my PS3, seeing as they had a couple hundred of the PS3 copies left... He didn't take it up for some reason... Oddly, got more angry. Go figure. | |
That's bad then, because I'm in southern MA, but the copy of the game I reserved is at a mall in NORTHERN MA. I feel stupid.

Call ahead of time, before driving to go get it, even though gamestop employees are also not supposed to tell you if something that you are looking for is in stock. They are supposed to lie to you, given that they just want to get a customer to the storefront. You are more likely to make a disappointment purchase if you are in the store, than you are to be angry with them for lying to you. You might be able to get someone who is working for them that doesn't agree with gamestop's corporate policies, and will actually tell the truth and/or set aside your copy. | |
i bought mine through the store best way xD lol.
