The clipboard is an OS feature. When you copy things that you select, it goes to the clipboard. You can press ctrl+v to paste things out of your clipboard.
It's part of your operating system. You don't find it. You use it by pressing ctrl+c and ctrl+v
I clicked share link then get link then it says copied to clipboard, how do I find it? do I have to download dropbox to find it? is it a tab? what?
It's not a tab, and it's not part of dropbox. It's built-in to your operating system. When things are copied to the clipboard, you can paste them with ctrl+v
what do you mena operating system? I have windows 7 dell so if I go to my start menu I have to search clipboard?
Your operating system is Windows 7. The clipboard is not an application, but a built-in feature of many operating systems. It stores data that can be moved from place to place using keyboard shortcuts.
ctrl+c copies selected data to your clipboard. ctrl+v pastes data from your clipboard into the current application. When dropbox tells you that a link has been copied into your clipboard, the text for that link is currently sitting in memory, waiting to be pasted elsewhere. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clipboard_%28computing%29 |
its starting to make sence now but if the link is copied that means I have to click ctrl+v then after what do I do? its been pasted then after I click ctrl+v so where is it then, yes it is in clipboard but how do I get hold of it to paste in download URL
