Pokemon was a huge part of my life during elementary school. I had Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2, a folder with pages full of Pokemon cards, Pokemon lunchbox, Pokemon pencils, my parents just should've gone ahead and renamed me "Pokemon". Eventually around 6th grade or so I felt I was too old to keep playing it because my cousin had stopped playing it around that time and was playing more grown-uppy games like Area 51 and True Crime LA.
My Dad let me have his old phone ( which isn't actually old, but it's the phone he had before his current one, so we call it "the old phone" ) and after browsing through the Google store thing I found a GBA emulator and decided to see if I could play FireRed ( because it featured the 1st and best generation of Pokemon, not all the stupid Pokemans you whipper-snappers are playing with today ) and sure enough it worked. It's funny that even after all these years I still find it quite addictive. I decided to do something a bit out of the ordinary and I'm running an entire Normal-type team: Raticate, Persian, Fearow, Snorlax, Clefable, and Kangaskhan. Bruno's going to have his way with me once I get to Elite Four. :(
One thing I never understood is why there is Dark and Ghost types, Bug and Grass, Rock and Ground, Water and Ice... it just seems to me like all those pairs don't have enough difference between them to warrant an entirely new type. Dark and Ghost, really? Bug and Grass, not too much of a difference there. Rock and Ground HAS to be a joke. And Water IS Ice, one is merely a solid form and the other isn't. But whatever.
Last thing I wanted to mention is X and Y look awesome, for reasons you can already guess from what I said earlier. They did a lot of things for us Generation 1 fanatics, like bringing back the awesomeness of Mewtwo and Charizard by giving them "Mega Evolutions". Just when you think gaming's best dragon ( yeah yeah fire/flying whatever shuddap, he's a dragon as far as im concerned ) can't get any more awesome, they make him MOAR AWESOME. As if he wasn't already powerful enough, he gets boosted Special Attack in this form and an ability called "Drought" which boosts his fire-type attacks even more. GG NO RE.
Pretty happy to see a series I grew up with come this far. I probably won't be buying a 3DS anytime soon so I'll miss out on having my own Mega Charizard, but maybe you guys will pick up a copy and tell me how #YOLOSWAGGIN he is.

I just had a Chargasm

When I was in middle school I remember I got busted for playing video games while grounded because my mom checked the save file hours played on my FireRed and it had jumped like 50 hours from the last time she checked lmao.

Mega Dragonite was just leaked merely seconds ago.

The thing about them is though, you can only have one Mega evolution per battle, and it's not a permanent thing.
I personally don't really see what the problem is, but oh well. Mega Lugia pls :> |

Maybe they came to BYOND, saw my request for him to be a Dragon-type, and granted my wish. This means Reshiram is no longer the only Fire/Dragon. :D

Also theres a Nintendo 2Ds selling at about $130 that plays 3D games if you cant get the 3DS.

Why is it called the 2DS? Can't it just be the DS2?
|
I personally find the 3D aspect superfluous and unnecessary. The 3DS still has upgraded hardware and graphics without the 3D. The 2DS is all uphill for me.

Nintendo released this to make money on the people who can't afford the 3ds but still will buy the cheaper 2ds to get their pokemon fix :P

Pokemon's great - can't say that I've played anything after Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald, though. I remember spending hours in Pokemon Silver trying to discover Ruins of Alph-level secrets as a kid. Since the old Gameboy colour didn't have the recharging capabilities that an advance SP had, I wasted many double A batteries searching for dem secrets. The days!
|
The original gba was going to have a rechargeable battery but the Battery Company paided them to not include that....
|
Batterys forced inside freezers, haunted down for in every couch, and removed from all other toys.
Tons of Tv remotes were lifeless in those dark times. But than came the GBA SP. |
I just noticed that on the Charizard trading card it says he's 5'7 and 200 pounds... really?
