I would like to thank Dan & Tom for making this book:
#1: Easy to read (I also love the little jokes scattered in there)
#2: Readily available at a reasonable price

If anyone here is serious about working with BYOND, then I strongly suggest the following:
#1: Buy the book
#2: Read the book
#3: Read the book again
#4: Now, do all the beginner tutorials and read the FAQ
#5: Try to scan the message boards once a day - just to keep informed
#6: Start with small projects/goals (I know this has been mentioned before)
#7: Now that you are informed, post intelligent questions on the forums (if you have them)
#8: Create games!

Well, I'm off to continue #6... after work that is.

It's easy to tell that your games will be worth playing. I look forward to what you come up with.

Thanks, but it may be awhile.. trying to find the time to fit everything in is not so easy anymore. I sure wish BYOND was around during my college years... talk about FREE TIME! :)

Deadron, anybodys game is worth playing, you can't judge a book by it's cover, unless it's an excessive clone : )

No, but you can judge a book by it's author, which I believe is what Deadron is doing here.

That's not what I said. I said not all games are worth "playing".
