I think its also unfair that since i do not have a check yet, i cannot "undo" the transaction. I haven't gained any money, and DANTOM hasnt lost any money, so what does it hurt to put the dimes back?

You never asked them to get it back, did you? If you did, I think it would be fair for them to return it.

Though, there is a lesson to be learned. Read your fine print, and read your End User License Agreements.

I do believe that the resultant page should be formatted similar to the following, however:

Charge........................Amount.....Subtotal
___________________________________________________
Amount to Withdraw........... $5.00 .... $5.00
Less $5.00 Processing Fee... -$5.00 .... $0.00
Less 10% Withdrawal Fee..... -$0.50 ... -$0.50

Total.................................. -$0.50

* Warning! Less fees, the withdrawal will cost more than the amount to withdraw!

[ Approve Transaction ] [ Cancel ]

well im glad i got ripped for $5.00 bucks

I'm glad you feel that the thousands of hours we've spent making this software and helping support it amounts to "ripping you off for $5.00 bucks".

I didn't realize your dimes were even deducted. Of course we'll credit them back.

I think you should also hit him with a stick, Tom.

And don't forget to apply the stick handling fee.
Hee. Sorry to laugh, because this is entirely my fault. I saw your order for a $0.10 check come through a couple weeks ago, and I just plain didn't take it seriously. I should have canceled the order right away and credited you back the 52 dimes that you had withdrawn, since I really doubt you want to receive a check for one dime in the mail. If you would prefer to have the dime, let me know!

p.s. I considered rasing the minimum withdrawal amount to a reasonable number, but what if you did want to totally bail out and you happened to have just 52 dimes available? Maybe that's silly; I don't know.

Have a bail out option. Whereby the user can withdraw all his/her dimes. And if the amount is small, and DanTom is willing, you might even waive the processing fee.
You also need a warning system or a conversion system for the withdrawal system. Don't expect user to calculate the Dimes into $$$ themselves.
Given the chance, they do what fire did...
