Hopefully this is as simple to impliment as it is to think of: a proc that causes a statpanel tab to flash until it's opened. You could use it to let a player know when the game updates information on the statpanel. Obviously you don't want to flash the "Stats" panel every time the player takes a point of damage, but it would be nice to flash the "Long Range Scan" tab when a Vogon Destroyer moves into range.
It's not urgent or even something for one of my current projects, but I think it would be easy to include and useful to some. :) Does anyone else think it would be worth the trouble to code, or have I just gone too long without caffeine?

Well, being able to edit the text of the statpanel dynamicly with CSS would cover all these requests. That would probably be the best aproach. Then all sorts of options would be open to your imagination....

I don't think you know what you are talking about. As far as I know, HTML is not supported in stat panels, nor is CSS, or JavaScript, or any other web language. Also, they are not talking about the text... they are talking about the stat panel tabs.
Any way, while we are talking about statpanels, let me bump another request in: subpanel() Sub-statpanels, that appear under the main stat panel bar. They work just like stat panels, but... I think you get the point. See you. |

Um, yeah, I kinda figured they weren't supported in the Statpanel. It was a suggestion that they should be, not for you to try to use it now...

A highlight would be a good alternative too--this idea would work nicely for a lot of things. A third useful feature would be to have a tab flash once and then stop, if it's something you want to make it easier for players to ignore.
