I just have to say that byond keeps getting better and better every day. With the new features ive seen in the recent beta, i must say its a beauty. Not that it wasnt in the first place, but its much better now.
And along with the features, we now have the increased preformance of byond. I cant say that i could be any more happier! (Well thats a lie, faster loading times of save files would be nice). But anyways! Way To Go BYOND! Congratulations on such a great system, and thanks for the performance tweak and the feature additions. Very much appreciated.

Of course, the fact that you can get it to run all so fast and so smoothly begs the question of why it was always so slow in the first place, you lazy bums.
Just kidding, of course. I've always relied on abusing the engine some to hide my lack of programming and design talent (and often as a direct result of my lack thereof), so I suspect this latest run of new performance and functionality to prove spectacularly nifty indeed once I drag myself back to serious work on any of my old projects (say, speaking of lazy bums...) |

There were a couple embarrassing problems, but we also did a fair amount of hard-core algorithm tuning. I can't wait to propogate some of these new data structures into other parts of the system, such as the compiler, where it could benefit from the better scalability they provide. --Dan |
