When I created this key in late August, I think I was about the 12,000th key to be made (I'm not sure on this). 5 months later, we are almost at 30,000 different keys! This obviously doesn't mean 30,000 different people, since most, if not all people have more than 1 key, so it's probably more around 15,000 - 20,000ish. But that's still a pretty good sign that BYOND is growing fast!
Unfotunately, I'll bet that a bunch of these keys belong to the notorious DBZers. Still, they still contribute to the population, just like all people in real life contribute to the population.
BYOND population: estimated 15,000 - 20,000

If all the people who'd ever lived since history as we know it started were still alive, there's be about 20 billion people on Earth (or so they say). But there aren't. Why? Because they went and died on us. I'm sure this applies to the BYOND population somehow.

Yes maybe, Foomness... Since some people have keys and dont even use them anymore. So its kinda like they died on us... Is there a thing that expires a key after it hasnt been used in a certain amount of time?

Then there are also people like me who have a half dozen plus keys and use them all for different things.
