Ouch. 317 is hard on Tanks too. I compiled version 31 in 317 and it was unbearably slow and several timing related things did not work properly.
You may want to make sleep() default to sleep(world.tick) instead of defaulting to the new sleep(0) setting for backwards compatability.
I changed every sleep() to sleep(1) and every spawn() to spawn(1), and the game still ran terribly. Every few steps it would lags up.
Hosting from Dream Daemon as Dan suggested for Ballistic fixes the Tanks lag problem.
