Actually, I believe I know how he might have done it:
Incursion admins can see the IPs of everyone playing on a server other than the host. I know Vegeta was an admin on such a server about the time this happended. You're assuming a lot, here. There's no good evidence that ImBob's account was hijacked at all. Assuming someone got in with a trojan, that doesn't necessarily even mean they'd have access to the account's password. I dunno about him being hacked but I do know that you could steal his passwords. Sub7 does the job a treat. | |
Even if someone had gotten into his system, I can't conceive of a way they'd be able to use that to hijack a BYOND account. (Depending on how password info is stored, I suppose an ultra-talented cracker could obtain the password, but then the people who make those kinds of threats aren't remotely in that class.) Odds are ImBob messed something up himself.
And please stop pulling an SSGX. Punctuate your sentences with periods, for crying out loud. (Besides, an ellipsis needs 3 or 4 depending on where it occurs, not 2.)
