No matter what game I go in to I can't see the map, just all black. I re-installed byond twice but no change. Anybody know how to fix this?

Well I noticed it doesnt work on anything with character handling, but some others work after rebooting about 85% still don't though, even without character handling.

Yes it looks as if charcter handling is screwing it up. Mostly those are the games causing it, but I upgraded it and uninstalled it with still no fix.

Question... are you getting through the character handling, or just seeing a black screen when you first log in and then giving up? 'cause most of the time, a game that uses character handling doesn't put you on the map until after you've created your character.

On top of that, make sure you aren't spawning on a dense object, that will also cause you to see a black screen.

I am not talking my own games, I can not see how only my character wouldspawn on a dense object in others games.

Are you completing the character creation before you begin waiting? What I'm saying is, it won't put you onto the map until you do.
Here's an idea... once you're logged in, and you've created your character, change from big icon mode to small icon and back (or vice versa, if the game uses small icons)... this can force the screen to refresh if it's screwed up. | |
I can't think of any reason this would be happening unless your graphics drivers were seriously messed up, or you were running out of memory in a big way. I would guess rebooting the system would cause some change.
