Whenever I host a game on byond and someone tries to connect it tells them that the connection failed. At first I had no idea what the problem was. Well, after playing a game on Gamespy Arcade, it told me that because I have a firewall, I would have trouble hosting internet based games. Well, there is my problem. Does anyone know how to configure byond so that I can host games? Or can I tweak my firewall? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Nadrew	You would need to get a port opened for you and host from that port.

Nadrew	If the firewall is with your ISP's server you'll have to contact them, if it's local on your computer you'll need a router.

SSTrunks7	Ok, well I think the firewall is local because it has nothing to do with my isp. It's a hardware firewall not a software firewall. What is a router? Is it a peice of hardware? or software?
