Would an e-mail service work with byond? i would like to know how u feel about it.

Do mean using the BYOND server(s) for managing email? If so, picture the waste of storage and bandwidth due to spam.

i meant having a special email service or something for the members of byond to use as an email service, and a tip to avoid spam: dont join something and agree to get thier newsletter, the last time i checked my spam email address i counted over 800 spam messages. but most of that was yahoo groups messages.

Members of BYOND can use the pager system. It sends email if the sender suggests it and the receiver has the email option checked.
I not speaking of spam inconvenience for for those reading their email. I'm thinking of the server load you are suggesting. Things have been laggy enough lately without giving the server something else to do. Even if email is added, someone has to be bothered to administrate. Would you rather have yet another email server or work done on game software? | |
