Neat, I just noticed these. Very, very cool.
A couple of questions, though:
A)Any chance we'll be able to edit the color scheme? I notice there's a css file in the same directory as the cgi for the forum.. is that what it's for?
B)Do the numbers in the forum URL represent anything? For example, mines http://www.byond.com/forums/00/1400/index.cgi
Why 00, and why 1400?.. are they just random? Couldn't you just name them by the hub entry they represent? (Mine would be http://www.byond.com/forums/AbyssDragon/TheAbyss)

Awesome! If they're not going to be free I'm going to stock up on dimes, any chance I could have one of these installed at Nadrew.com? I'm willing to pay, well when I get some dimes that is.

It would probably be easiest to point from Nadrew.com to a url here, so we don't have to install all of the forum stuff on your provider's machine. We can discuss specifics later; we're holding off on further development with this right now as we finalize some other stuff. |

I have too much empty space at Nadrew.com (14.5 gigs) and I've seen how powerful the BYOND forums are and would rather them take my space than your space =P Anyways, I'll email you sometime so we can discuss this further. |
Yep. We'll eventually allow you to edit all of the forum files, so you can even make multiple "rooms" and so forth. We're still hashing out some of the details.
Yeah, I think that makes more sense. You'll have to talk to Dan about the bizarre numbering scheme :)
Right now this is still in the "experimental" phase, so we can't guarantee that the data will even be preserved. Ultimately, this may not be a free service, but we will try to make it easily available to those that really could benefit.
