I dont know if Byond is being worked on or not but, if it is, I suggest that a Dream Daemon timer be able to be set. Like so that DD automatically is reset after a set amount of time. Cause I host this game that I really like, and every like 8 hours or so, the game crashes. Well, if im out(like on vacation or somethin) when it crashes, then the server is down till i get back to the computer to reset it myself. I really think that there should be a set time for DD to automatiacally reset for you. It would save alot of time, and make people happier when playing games that once in a while crash by default. Also, this game is stopped in production so theres no chance that this crashing will be stopped. So please if you can, add this simple request. Thx!

You could code it into the game to automaticly reboto every 8 hours..But you would have to know how many ticks that would be..

That wouldn't work if the game crashed by itself, would it?

it should...maybe...
actually, i wouldn't mind seeing such a similar feature in the new DD, i host ff the hunting grounds, and, like most beta games, it has a tendency to crash after about 8 hours...if an auto-reboot function is not in-game, one set in DD would help out alot. To make it more usefull, allow the amount of time between reboots to be set.
ie:8 hours for today,
4 hours for the next day.
but...if the game crashes...maybe you can put an "if" statement in there somewhere lol.....
"if" the game is crashed before the set time for reboot, then reset the game...

oh yea, another feature i'd like to see on DD...
when i'm hosting, if EVERY user leaves the game, (0) players online, the server is still up, but it will not show up on the hub. If a player hasn't bookmarked the server...they can't get in. maybe there can be some way to make the game show up on hub regardless of number of players.

If you set it for 7 hours and 59 minutes then it will reboot before it crashes. :D

probably what would be better is to use an external scripting language (i thought windows had something like that at one time - their answer to AppleScript) then use it to check to see if the game is running - if not, then restart DD.

you might look into the windows version of cron too - that's a timer system that can be configured to fire-off programs or batch files at anytime you define.

That happens to me all the time when im hosting my games like Slime Journey, theres no one on at night, and unless i can get someone on, theres no way people will be able to play unless the hub shows me there.
