Ok, we have the "the message has already been posted" error message (to avoid double-posting), but wouldn't it be better if instead of giving you that error it just acts as if it was editing the post? Or perhaps giving you the option of updating the post.

I'm slightly confused as to what purpose this would serve, the current message seems to work perfectly to me. Would you mine explaining furthur?

Well it seems the majority of the time when someone does something that would result in a double post it's because they clicked the post button then realised they needed to change something. So it would be easier to update the first post instead of just giving you an error.
